The PlumbXpress brand was created in August 2005 by Angela and Daniel Morris, with the vision of building a plumbing and drainage network offering a premium, reliable and professional national operation to what is a largely regarded as fragmented industry with varying levels of standards and customer service.

Following a successful trial period piloted initially in Richmond, Surrey the management realised that to create a national network with the appropriate service standards, the business needed to move to a franchise model. During 2007 the franchise model was developed and the recruitment programme has recently been launched.
